Professional Women in Building’s Successful Essentials Drive Supports HomeAid Care Providers

HomeAid would like to thank BIA Bay Area’s Professional Women in Building Council (PWB) for hosting an incredible Essentials’ Drive to support Bay Area Care Providers; Ruby’s Place, Shepherd’s Gate, HomeFirst, Lutheran Social Services of Northern California, STAND! for Families Free of Violence, and Tri-Valley Haven.  We successfully collected 581 boxes of diapers, 240 Cases of baby wipes, 175 bath items, 82 toys and books, 135 items of clothing, and $1,025 dollars in gift cards!

We appreciated the competitive ‘spirit of giving’ shown by the building industry at the event.  Our first-place winner for collecting essential items goes to Lennar Homes, who built and incredible beach house out of boxed diapers, followed by Taylor Morrison, and Trumark Homes!  We look forward to building on this year’s successful Essentials Drive event.

PWB provides its members educational opportunities, mentoring and the chance to practice leadership skills through participation in its political, charitable and legislative advocacy activities. For a full list of programming and events details for PWB visit www.BIABayArea.org/PWB.
