HomeAid and Hope Solutions Prepare for the Construction of Hope

HomeAid is excited to partner with our Builder Captain the Pulte Group to begin construction on our newest micro-home village for Hope Solutions.  We will be starting construction of the Hope Village units in early July and expect the community to be complete in late September.

Hope Village was created in partnership with Grace Presbyterian Church in Walnut Creek and Firm Foundation Community Housing. The development will be located in an underutilized parking area of the church, and will include six 225 sq ft homes with an office and laundry unit to provide care for the residents.

Contra Costa County, like most of California, is facing a significant homelessness and affordable housing crisis. In 2023, 2,372 people were living on the street without shelter of any kind. Thousands more face housing instability, and today’s rising housing costs and inflation are only exacerbating the situation.  Founded in 1997, Hope Solutions was created to provide emergency support to homeless individuals.  Hope Solutions has grown to provide permanent supportive housing and vital social services to over 2,200 of the most vulnerable members of the community.
