Walnut Creek: 6 Micro Homes & 1 Office/Laundry unit to serve Homeless Seniors

Hope Village, a community of 6 micro homes & 1 office/laundry unit to serve Homeless Seniors at Grace Presbyterian Church on Tice Valley Blvd, Walnut Creek. These 225-250 square foot units are built using the same materials and California Housing and Community Development (HCD) quality standards as our own homes. They will include a kitchenette, bathroom and shower, bed and dining area. The communities take advantage of underutilized property on our church site to provide unsheltered people access to housing. In addition, residents would share an outdoor patio space, laundry facility, and an office where on-site social services would be coordinated and delivered.

Partnering with our Builder Captain the Pulte Group on the construction on our newest micro-home village in partnership with Firm Foundation Community Housing  for our Care Provider Hope Solutions!

We have successfully moved the completed units from our micro-home factory site in Dublin and craned them into place at their final location at the Grace Presbyterian Church located in Walnut Creek.  Crane day is always exciting for HomeAid micro-home projects, these 7-units will be ready to accept new residents in early December when the decking, landscape and hook-ups to utilities will be complete.  The new Hope Village project has been constructed in an area of underutilized parking at the church, these individual homes will offer connectivity to the community, jobs, and transit while also providing a place for residents to heal.

Founded in 1997, Hope Solutions was created to provide emergency support to homeless individuals.  Hope Solutions has grown to provide permanent supportive housing and vital social services to over 2,200 of the most vulnerable members of the community in Contra Costa County. HomeAid is excited to partner with our Builder Captain the Pulte Group on the construction on our newest micro-home village in partnership with Firm Foundation Community Housing  for our Care Provider Hope Solutions!
