Cheryl O'Connor Retirement

The HomeAid Northern California Board announces the retirement of Executive Director Cheryl O’Connor and welcomes Crisand Giles as the new Executive Director!

I am thrilled to announce that Crisand Giles will be our new Executive Director in July! She has most recently served as Executive Director of HomeAid Sacramento and she has twenty-five years of experience in public policy and as a forward planner, where she was involved in every level of design and project entitlement for residential and commercial projects for Greenbriar Homes, Pardee Homes, and Shea Homes. Crisand will use that experience to maintain and create new relationships with building industry groups, shelter operators, and government officials in her role as Executive Director of HomeAid Northern California. As I step away from my role at HomeAid Northern California after 10 years, I want to personally thank all of the Builder Captains, trade partners, consultants, donors and supporters who have stepped up to help us build 51 projects to house over 10,000 people struggling with homelessness. I could not have done this without your unwavering support.  Serving as Executive Director has been the most rewarding job in my career. Being able to provide housing for people who are unhoused is tremendously gratifying and makes me so proud to work with this incredibly generous building industry.
